After a study in social work
and a management study (women and social work) I worked for 10
years as a social (group)worker in the
Netherlands
.
After that I studied
feministic anthropology/ gender and development, with research
methods as one of my specialisations. I started working for SNV
Netherlands Development Organisation, and went to
Benin
,
Bolivia,
Guinea-Bissau
and
Angola
as
a gender advisor. I worked for about 20 organisations in the area
of gender and organisational development. The past couple of years
I worked as a gender advisor for SNV corporate.
In
April 2003 I started with GADE.
I
try to work in an open, stimulating
and participatory way, seeing listening and exchanging knowledge
as the most important instruments. Increasing possibilities of
people is my motivation, as I would like to live in a more equal
and just world
